Accidental trail

Endurance run was on the table. I walked out the door, not knowing which way to run. I ended up going towards the train station and up a hill. One idea was to go up the hill and then follow a gravel road at the top to see how far I came this time before turning around. I did the same a few weeks ago.

On the way up the hill, I saw a path into the forest on the left. "Oh, look a path. I wonder where it goes." Off I went, and it ended up being a very short trail because it became a deer path very quickly and then I turned back to the road to continue upwards.

Just as I crested the hill, I saw a forest road on the right, and I remembered having followed it before. I thought I knew where it ended, so I decided to follow it. This time it went better. I followed the road, and it became a really nice forest trail after a while. It ended at the end of another gravel road I know well.

I followed that gravel road back to the main road. From there I turned homeward. It was a good run. The trail section went slow, of course, but it was fun. Sometimes, one just needs to follow one's nose.

Today's run: 6 km in 46 min

Shoes: Nike X Light pink
